A brief spell of hibernationposted: January 11, 2011
There is no mercy for those in this audience who are biting their nails to the quick, anxiously awaiting the next installment of this story. Since I've finished the first chapter, I'm taking a hiatus to prepare it for print while I plan the next. Honest, THE DEUCE will be back as soon as I can manage. But until I can afford to hire a staff of assistants, I have to do everything myself... sigh. See you soon.
Well, whaddya know? I'm blogging!posted: September 21, 2010
I'm getting this Online Graphic Novel (popularly known as a "web-comic") back up and running again after a hiatus of several months, during which my Lovely Wife (she hates it when I call her that!) and I sold our house in Austin, Texas, and moved to Portland, Oregon.
(Why such a radical relocation? Austin is undeniably cool, but we just couldn't stand the heat. Not to mention the humidity. And we already loved the Pacific North West.)
Now that we've unpacked our boxes and I've gotten my studio ready for business, it's time to re-open the "Dooce" folder on my trusty Big Mac and get ready to rock and roll.
A lot has changed while I was otherwise occupied. My feature's host site, NeedComics.com, has become WEvolt, signed a deal with Wowio, and upgraded its already-impressive Content Management System.
So I've got some work to do to get back up to speed, but so far, it's all looking good. The Hueys are loving Portland, and Yours Truly is eager to tell you more about the incredible adventure that began for young Luke Farr on "a dark and stormy dawn."
Excelsior!
